Our Environmental Protection Projects
At Greenway, we are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and the community we serve. We have successfully completed several environmental protection projects in the past, including helping elementary school to plant, organizing community clean-up events and etc. Explore to learn more about our past projects and how we are making a difference.
Community Clean Up Project
Last December 2023, during winter break, we organized a grand cleanup in which all members gathered on the same day, in the same location, and strolled across the Arbutus Greenway together to clean up. There were 15 members, walked for a total of 10 blocks, and gathered five buckets of litter.
Picnic Table Installation Project
​After receiving $2500 of grant from the Vancouver Government, we‘ve installed three picnic table on 42nd, 45th, and 49th Street of the Arbutus Greenway, as well as two flower planters around it. We are now finished the process of sanding and painting the tables!
